Posada Mawimbi is a lovingly run hotel directly on the white sandy beach of Isla Holbox with several buildings and a total of 14 rooms in the middle of a beautiful tropical garden. On the beach there are comfortable sun loungers, hammocks and rocking beds.

Our Review
The very friendly Italian owners have lovingly designed this small hotel complex in a traditional Mexican style. Located in the best beach area on Holbox Island, the hotel boasts an exceptionally large and comfortable beach area and a beautiful garden. The atmosphere is quiet and warm, with a family-like vibe. The service is excellent and the associated beach restaurant “Barquito” serves not only excellent food, but also delicious breakfasts and irresistibe cocktails.
The rooms are very clean and well maintained and available in different sizes and price categories. In addition, tours to fish or snorkel with whale sharks with their own motorboat are offered upon request.
Our tip: If you want to stay at the Mawimbi Boutique Hotel, book well in advance. It usually fills up weeks or even months in advance.
